Misc Items and Pictures

This is the house owned by Stephen Strang. It was at the end of the Strang Road at the point.
Our Older generation still remember the house but it is long since gone. 


Stephen and his wife are buried at Union Corner.

This addressed envelope below was to C.R. Dickie and posted in 1872. He had lived where Vital Gauthier lived well prior to Vital moving there from Rustico as a teacher at St Nicholas School.
 
Isaac Ives born Apr 20 1747 in the U.S.A., married Dec 08 1771, Sarah Thompson. Isaac died in 1806, North Tryon, PEI. Their son Charles Ives born 1776 married 1818 to Frances FANNY Dawson born Nov 18 1795, Cootehill, Co. Cavan, Ireland., (daughter of Col. Thomas Dawson and Elizabeth FRANCES Tate). Jane SARAH Ives  daughter of Charles born Nov 16 1820, married Mar 01 1843 to John Dickie, born Jun 12 1812, Aberdeenshire, Scotland and died Jun 12 1890, Muddy Creek, PEI
Their children are:
 i Frances Dickie born Jul 05 1846.
ii Thomas Dickie born Jan 09 1847.
iii Charles R. Dickie born ___ 1849

 
     
 
 
 
 
 
Later Vital Gauthier move in on the property where Charlie Dickie Lived.
This would be the wedding announcement for Vital's daughter Lila.
